Fundraise

Whatever gifts you have – whether its time, organisational skills, creativity, hospitality, or anything else – you can make a difference and bring healing and hope to people in very real need in Africa and Asia.

It’s easy to get involved – fundraising can be as simple or as inventive as you like! Any money you raise is gratefully received and we can promise you that it will change lives.

As little as £10 can buy a pair of sandals that prevent a leprosy-affected person from suffering life-limiting disabilities.

So why not take a moment to read through some of our suggestions and think about how you can get involved.

  • Ideas for churches

Host a coffee morning, a church fete, a Christmas carol service or another event in support of The Leprosy Mission.

Invite one of our engaging and experienced speakers to your event or church service. (book a speaker link)

Use our resources in your Sunday services, Sunday Schools, youth groups or homegroups to bring leprosy and TLM NI’s work to life and to inspire people to give.

  • Ideas for youth and children's groups

There are so many ways you or your children’s or youth group could get involved to support the work of The Leprosy Mission and change lives around the world. These are just a few ideas:

You could get sponsored for washing cars, doing chores at home, hosting a pyjama party or having a 24-hour fast from food, TV or mobile phones, and ask people to sponsor you.

  • Ideas for individuals and groups

Love running, hiking or baking? Get sponsored for it! Anything that’s fun, interesting or a little bit different will help raise awareness of leprosy and TLM NI.

Why not organise a film night, a progressive supper, a games night or another social event and charge people a few pounds to attend.

  • Ideas for schools

Use our assembly resource or lesson plans to introduce to your pupils how leprosy affects children and how they can make a difference by wearing odd shoes for a day.
