His mother noticed the signs of leprosy early. Numb patches of skin on Abubakars body. She took him to herbalists and local traditional healers but they did not know that Abubakar had leprosy. Abubakar was diagnosed and treated for his leprosy, but sadly it had already done great damage to his body.
